Christmas Show

Katy performed in her 1st grade Holiday show today.

We had a hard time coming up with something to wear. She had to wear jeans and a white, red, or green shirt. I looked in her closet the day before and pulled out her jeans and then proceeded to go though all her pink and purple shirts. We finally found a turtle neck that goes with a dress that doesn't fit her yet. Although it was kinda big on her it was nice because it was white and 90% of the kids wore red.

A few days ago Katy gave up her speaking part for a dancing part. I was upset because I love theater and could not understand why she would do that. It turned out to be a good thing. She was happy and not grumpy. I love how proud she was after she got done dancing. That made everything OK in Mommy's book.

Lilly and Katy keep waving at each other. When they were in between songs you could hear Lilly saying "That Gaw Gaw, Hi Gaw Gaw!". Then she would go into "where Wo Wo? I don't see Wo Wo. Where Wo Wo go.". Thank goodness that Steven was there to take Lilly so I could get pictures.

Eye Can See

Logan has glasses. He actually is rather happy about his new glasses. I don't think I will tell him about how I used to take mine off when I got to school. We shall see how he like them after school on Monday. I love the way they look on him. Who knew he could get more handsome.

High Tea

Katy turned 7 can you believe it. For her Birthday her Grandmother and I took her to a Tea Party. We had so much fun. Katy was such a little lady. She made me very proud. Her favorite this was how beautiful the house was. It was all decorated like a white Christmas. We learned about how high tea party's started. Most of all we just enjoyed being girly and sophisticated.

BIrthday Surprise

Well It is official I am Old. I turned 35 and we went out with our friends. We had tons of fun. You can't go wrong with dinner and dancing. I got to see people that I had not seen in a long time and go out with people that I had been wanting to hang with for a long time. It was just pure fun. I think we all needed a night out so we all just enjoyed ourselves.

Unfortunately some of our neighborhood thugs thought it was their birthday because while we were out they helped themselves to our stuff. Yep that is right we came home to find we had been robbed. One of the many things they made off with was my camera so there will be no new pictures for awhile. We are insured and no one was home. The kids where staying at Steven's parents out of town. I am still dazed about the whole thing. Over all I think I am taking it all well. It helps that I have to act not scared in front of the kids. You know me I am all about family, friends and memories and they didn't take any of that so I am still very rich.

Katy's First Play

Ahhh I have been waiting 8 years to take one of my kids to see a show at the Theater that I used to preform at. My step Mom, Sister, Kathryn and I all went to see Cinderella at The Theater Company. Katy was mesmerized and everyone thought the show was wonderful. It really meant so much to me to share my intense love for theater with Katy. It was such a fun way to do it because it was combined with her love for all things princess. She was supper good and well just a little princess. Her favorite thing was all the costumes.

This is only the beginning I can't wait until the time that I can do shows with my kids. Don't get me wrong the break from the Theater was worth it. Just look at my perfect children. I would give up anything for them. Now I get to introduce them to a part of their Mommy that they have not known before. Fun days are ahead.

Trip to A&M

The second graders took a Field trip to A&M. It was a walking tour and man did we walk. We learned all kinds of things about the school and some of their traditions. Logan got a lot more out of it than I figured he would. He came home telling Katy all about what he learned. My favorite moment was when he wanted to go under the lovers lane tree, the century tree with me. Logan like the story of the fish pond. That would be a fish free pond that the freshmen throw the Yell Leaders in if the football team loses. All in all it was a supper fun day and we where glad we got to go together.

More Zoooooooooooo Pics

The ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

While we were staying at my mom's house we took a day and went to the local Zoo.

The first thing we did was ride the train around the Zoo. This was very important to Logan especially because last time he came he missed it.

This is the first trip that Lilly took to the Zoo that she was old enough to be excited. She was so funny. When we walked up to the first cage she just kind of looked in like OK nice plants. Then the monkeys in the trees made noise and she got all excited.

Katy had to see the flamingos. I am thinking maybe it has something to do with the fact that they are pink. What do you think?

Logan was the only one of the kids who had been to this Zoo before. He enjoyed showing stuff to his sisters, especially the lion water fountain.

Mommy loves the giraffes. I don't know why I just find them fascinating.

Poor Grandma got stuck caring our bags because I had to take pictures. Hehe I don't know why but that makes me laugh.

It was a supper fun day.

Fun with Grandma Mary

This summer the kids and I spent some time at my mom's house. It had been two years since we had been down to see her. These pictures are at a local park by her house. We had lots of fun. The kids each hung from the bars to see how long they could hold on. Lilly won, I think she was too scared to drop. No faith in Mommy's ability to catch her apparently. We also took a walk around the park although Logan and I had to take a break because, well that is a lot of walking. While Logan and I were on our break we watched some random guy playing tennis. Logan decided he wants to play tennis in the Olympics. Lilly's favorite thing was the horse. She really loved that thing. All the kids had fun on the see saw. It was a very fun trip to the park.

Summer Pictures

Many of you are wondering why there have been no new pictures this summer. Well in the last move this summer I misplaced my cord to download my Pictures off of my camera. I have now found the cord so over the next week I will be posting our summer pictures. This first set are just a few of Kylie visiting one day this summer.

Ike

It occurred to me that not all of my friends and family are here in Texas and that some of you might be concerned about our recent stormy visitor, Ike. We are far enough inland that we were not too concerned and we had recently removed our only dead tree from our back yard. However, with Steven and Katy off on their adventure, the other kids and I did stay at my parents house. I am glad we did, by the look of my yard when I came home it would of been a long night for me. All along my back windows were broken branches just laying there. We all made it though just fine and we never lost power at my house at all. My parents only lost it for about an hour. It was right at nap time so we all just took a nap.
Life is just about back to normal now, except for all our coastal friends filling up our town. I try not to complain when I go to the store and there is no bread on the shelves. Knowing that I am not stuck with my entire family in a hotel room living on peanut butter sandwiches helps. Logan has a boy from Houston in his class right now. I just can't imagine what it is like for all those people not even knowing how their house held up. Anyways I just wanted to tell everyone that we are fine and not to worry.
